do you ever feel cursed

This was taken during one of the most eye opening experiences of my life. During my trip to Cambodia, our group was taken on a boat tour of a floating village. This village was the most heartwrenching thing I have ever witnessed. The people there were so poor and sad looking.

People of this village bathe naked in a dirt-brown river as our tour boat passes by them taking pictures. I did not take many pictures at this village because i felt like such an asshole. All day, these people are passed by, viewed like a tour through a zoo. We pass other boats full of laughing tourists with their point and shoot cameras and blidingly clean clothes.

I had a hard time taking pictures because i couldnt stop my hands from shaking. I could barely see through my viewfinder because of the tears blurring my vision.

no photographs can capture exactly what I felt that day, but maybe this will give you some sort of idea. I am just glad that I could experience this through photography.
